Huh? What? Where? My January K+ entry

Hi scrappy friends!! Just popped in quickly today to share with you my take on the January challenge for Kraft Plus Challenges. I haven't been able to manage to enter many of these challenges but I always love to play along when I get the chance!

This month I have chosen 5, yes, 5 photo's to scrap on 1 12x12 page. I chose this series of photos from oldest son's 6th birthday last January and am really happy with how the page came together!

If you haven't seen the challenge it is to simply include a bike on your page!! I was a little stumped to start with and then I found these photos!

I have used the Maggie Holmes Shine collection and like I said, love how this came out in the end! Another story documented and ready for the albums!

Here are a couple of close up's!

Make sure you head over to Kraft Plus to enter your own take on the challenge, you never know just how much fun you will have!!

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

{Colour Blast} Hello Tiffany

Hiya!! I'm here with you today sharing my latest page for Colour Blast Australia!

There is also a process video available, just click play in the box below!

The 2 photo's I have chosen to scrap today are of myself with 2 of my BIG bosses (the National Customer Experience Director and the National Customer Experience Manager) and my gifts and certificate I was awarded. I actually won a piece of Tiffany & Co jewellery so knew that I wanted the layout to have "that Tiffany blue" colour!

First up I applied a light coat of clear gesso knowing that during my process I was going to use alot of water. After that was dry I went in with my Steel and Snow White colour paste's and a stencil to apply some dimension and colour to my background.

I applied the 2 colours randomly over my background and left to air dry.

Next up time to add some COLOUR! I specifically picked out the Peacock Colour Shimmer Dust for this page a couple of months ago so I was super excited to finally see this coming together.

I used a tiny paintbrush (I have seen some of the other DT members do this and this is my first time playing!) and sprinkled tiny amounts of the dust around the dried Colour Paste.

And then for the MAGIC of the dusts! You can't even see where I have sprinkled the dust but watch as it comes to life when I add water! You can see this even better in the video ;)

Oh la la!! I so love this! And while playing I learned a couple of things about these beautiful dusts that I thought I would share! I do love this colour and love how this layout turned out in the end but if I'm honest, this background almost got ditched! When I added the water and tipped the page about to get the colour to spread there was some excess splatters which made colour go everywhere. I did want it more specifically only where the colour paste was but managed to clean up some parts (baby wipe where there was gesso) and then chopped down my 12x12 sheet to approx 10x10 and mounted my page, so crisis averted!

You only need a tiny amount of the dust, these colours are so fun and vibrant and go so far!

After my "cleaning" and chopping down of my background I wasn't happy with how some of the edges of the colour were looking so I re-wet some dried dust and water (from my palette) and went in with a brush to give it less of a line and more of a water coloured effect.

And then with the left over colour I used the same brush to apply some sprinkles of the Peacock Dust.

And the final touch in finishing off my background was some splatters using the Roadbase Colour Spray and the Steel Colour Shimmer Spray.

I added in all my title, my embellishments, my journalling tag (which sits nicely behind the large photo), mounted the page onto an Echo Park paper which perfectly matched the Peacock and then did some black stitching around the border.

I really am super happy how this page looks but like I said, it was one of those "I'm going to test your creativity/patience" this whole process kind of layouts. It is a story I am so happy to get told and now have in our album.

And here are a couple of close up shots

Thanks, as always for stopping by and happy scrapping until next time!!

{ScrappingClearly} Love This

Hi there scrappy friends I'm here with you today sharing my latest page for Scrappingclearly. I'm scrapping a photo of myself and hubby from Christmas Day last year using the gorgeous Oh Joy collection by Pink Fresh Studio.

There is a process video too, just click on the play button below and enjoy!

Here is my page and I really love how it turned out. It's pretty clean and simple for me but I did add a VERY light coat of white gesso behind where my photo and title went to help them pop and sprinkled on some mists :)

I used one of the metal dies in my stash and one of the papers in the 6x6 paper pad to create my title.

I pulled lots of bits and pieces from the collection to embellish the page and really love the clean design of this!

Kylie still has this gorgeous collection in store and if you are anything like me, still scrapping away those photo's from Christmas Past head over and order up before it all disappears - it really is a gorgeous collection!

The products I have used are:

Happy Australia Day!!

Hi there lovely scrappy friends!! I'm here with you today sharing a couple of layouts I have put together over the last few days for the awesome Cyber Crop that is happening RIGHT NOW over in the ScrappingClearly FB group!

Make sure you head over to join in all the fun and maybe even win some prizes!!

Before you do however, I have a couple of super quick shares for you of a couple of the challenges I have so far completed!

First up the AWESOME moodboard challenge!

Here is the mood board again for you if you have not seen it yet

I took inspiration from the newspaper print on the right hand side, the green and yellow of the macaroons, the blue and red of the flag and the round also of the macaroons!

Here is my take and seriously, I had so much fun digging in my stash!

I have altered 2 of the alphas using awesome Colour Blast Australia products - the "my" was black foam and I have simply gesso'd and the used the Sunshine Colour Paste and applied liberally! The "kids" was kraft coloured! Again, I gesso'd and more awesome Colour Blast goodies - this time the BEAUTIFUL Colour Shimmer Dust in Paris - don't let the packaging fool you - it is indeed green!!

Secondly I have the use only Aussie made products challenge! How fun?! And at times a little challenging!!

And here is my take

Of course, using some gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studio goodies. I have mixed a few of the different ranges here but mostly I have used the Life Is Beautiful collection!

And here are a few close ups!

Being school holidays here I have only managed to get 2 done so far but am looking forward to some scrappy time over the weekend!

Here are the rest of the challenges:

I do love a sketch so perhaps that next, or maybe the Aussie icons - I have a photo of hubby and I from Taronga Zoo (back in 2009!) with both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House in the background :)

Head over here to play along and see all the fun inspo from myself and all of the other VERY talented girls on the DT. There are spot challenges today and you have until Monday to upload your challenges in the correct album!

Hope to see you there! Happy scrapping and happy Australia Day!

You Two Make Me Smile

Hi there and welcome to my blog today!!

I have this fun, mostly clean and simple layout to share with you today!

D-lish Scraps celebrated their birthday (a few months ago now!!) and had a fun online crop. I had about 30 minutes to complete this challenge which was the Mystery Box challenge. Amanda pulled out 5 ingredients and we were to include at least 3 of the 5. The 5 were veneer, flair, resin, bitty bag and doilies. I used 4 of the 5, only missing the bag!

I didn't really have much of an idea of what I wanted to do but I pulled out this hilarious photo of my 2 boys and the bunny and that veneer "smile" and got to work.

The flair were made for me by my friend Michelle, the veneer crosses are from Rainbow Splendour, the resin flowers may have been Stampin Up and the doily from D-lish. I used the awesome Sunshine colour paste and embossing powder from Colour Blast Australia and am super happy how this page came together! Another memory documented and funny story told. I wonder what my boys will say in 5, 10 or even 20 years time!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

{ScrappingClearly} Goggles and Hunter

Hi there fellow ScrappingClearly fans, I'm here with you (again!!!!) today and I am super excited to share my take on this month's super fun and bright mood board designed by the very talented Peg from the design team!

Here is a little refresher:

Ah!!! I seriously love it! I do have to admit, I was a little unsure to start with. That is until I started flipping through my printed photos and this one of my baby just jumped out at me as perfect for this board! And paired with my favourite collection, of all time, ever!! Starshine by Shimelle Laine :D

Here is my take:

And here is my process video for this LO

I really, really, really love how this turned out!! I cut the title on my cameo and then backed each letter with some offcuts from the 6x6 paper pad. Oh, after I did some playing with gelato's and water and some Colour Paste!

A couple of little layers behind the photo - more scraps, a piece from the ephemera pack and a clear sticker. And then, a fun, rainbow border around the left and top - again, more scraps! If you watched my last process video you would have seen me "screw up" the other side of this paper (it has all the little stars on it - one of my fave papers, ever!!), so I stuck down the 2 sides I had applied gesso too, attached to my white cardstock and saved the left overs from behind the white cardstock ;)

Last up I added in some black splatters, my journalling, some stitching around 2 sides, a little stamping and a sharpie pen to outline each letter in the title!

You still have 2 whole weeks to enter the challenges this month so make sure you head over to the FB group here to load up your entries to go into the draw for a voucher to the store!

Also, did you see that ScrappingClearly have just launched some awesome online classes with members of the DT teaching?! There are still a few days left to sign up to the 1st class with Skai so if your interested you can find all the info here.

Thanks as always for stopping by and until next time, happy scrapping!

{Colour Blast} More ~ My OLW for 2017

Hi there and thanks so much for stopping by for my 1st post for Colour Blast for 2017! I hope the new year finds you well!!

Today I am sharing a page I created using the very gorgeous 7 Dots Studio Cotton Candy Dreams range paired with Colour Blast products in Leather, Envy, Tangereen Dream and Mocha! I do have to also share that I was VERY inspired by one Anguree's posts from December and ran with it!

And there is a process video if you'd like to see my page come together

First up a little stamping with my black archival ink on this gorgeous patterned paper

And next some Colour Paste in Tangereen Dream through a stencil

I quickly dried that off my heat tool and the next step was another stencil this time with Leather Colour Shimmer Spray

Then I did some splatters using the nozzles of some sprays - Envy Colour Shimmer Spray, Tangereen Dream Colour Shimmer Spray, Rainforest Colour Spray and Mocha Colour Spray.

I then left that to dry off naturally while I worked on my title. A very simple one word title "more" which I cut a few times on my cameo. I was unsure which size I wanted to use and ended up adding all 3 to my page!

I very simply sprayed that with Tangereen Dream Colour Shimmer Spray. I also sprayed the other 2 pieces a bit later when I decided I wanted to use those as layers.

Next up for a bit more colour I used the same stencil I used on the background and Tangereen Dream Colour Paste and applied that over the top of my word.

I had pulled out a few stickers from the Cotton Candy Dreams range which eluded to "find your wings and fly" so wanted to add in some butterflies. I grabbed stamp set, my versamark and also my Tangereen Dream Colour Embossing Powder and got to stamping and embossing. And, of course, fussy cutting ;)

At this point I decided I wanted to add in some chipboard so I grabbed this Dusty Attic piece from my stash and again went in with my versamark and embossing powder.

I started to assemble my layout here and this is when I decided to add in the extra words I had cut on my cameo but wanted a little more colour/depth to them so added on the Leather Colour Shimmer Spray through a stencil and love how they came out!

Finally I added in some very rough hand drawn lines around the border of my page using the Mocha Colour Spray nozzle.

And here is my completed page

And a few close ups

Just as a side note, the word "more" is the word that spoke to me for my take of One Little Word by Ali Edwards. I have included a tag behind my photo in a pocket which I will add some journalling to about what I hope 2017 brings for me!

It really is amazing where a little inspiration can take you! I had so much fun putting this page together. Next time you see something that catches your eye, make something - you may just love it or learn something in the process!!

Until next time!

Happy scrapping!
